Kristoffer, who joined Wiidare in February 2026 as a Legal Counsel, has worked in international roles throughout his career.
Could you briefly tell us about yourself and your background in the legal field?
I’m originally from Helsinki and hold an LL.M. from Uppsala University, including a semester in Singapore.
I began my career at the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce (FAI), handling domestic and international arbitration cases. Later, I joined the Nordic Investment Bank, where I supported the lending function in financial documentation, negotiations, and legal advisory throughout the loan lifecycle.
My background combines dispute resolution, cross‑border financing, and hands-on in‑house legal advisory, which allows me to handle complex matters with clarity, pragmatism, and a focus on practical results.
What got you interested in working at Wiidare?
After years of working as an in‑house counsel, I wanted to broaden my expertise in business law.
I already knew Wiidare and many Wiidare colleagues beforehand, so I had a good understanding of the company’s culture. I knew that the people at Wiidare are welcoming and genuinely pleasant to work with.

How would you describe your expertise?
My expertise focuses on transactions, finance, contract drafting, and corporate legal advisory.
I have supported complex financing processes, from structuring and documenting transactions to negotiating terms and providing practical legal advice. Alongside financing, I have experience in institutional arbitration and managing both international and domestic disputes. This combination has given me a solid understanding of both regulatory frameworks and everyday commercial needs.
I am fluent in Finnish, Swedish, and English, with working proficiency in Norwegian and Danish.

What do you do in your free time?
I spend much of my free time doing sports, such as running, gym and swimming. In recent years, I have focused particularly on improving my marathon results, a slow and steady process. Recovery is part of the routine as well, so I spend plenty of time in the sauna or in ice baths.
Whenever possible, I enjoy traveling, often to Southern Europe or Asia, and sharing good food in good company.
I also enjoy supporting HIFK in both ice hockey and football.
